UAB Juodeliai to ensure access to product traceability information

From December 30, 2026, the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai will ensure that its customers and competent authorities have access to the information on wood raw material and finished product traceability required for compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

UAB Juodeliai purchases wood raw materials from suppliers within the European Union and processes them into wood products supplied to the EU market or exported outside the EU. Under the EUDR, the company operates as a downstream operator.

For products manufactured from wood raw materials for which upstream suppliers have already submitted a relevant Due Diligence Statement (DDS) or which are covered by a simplified declaration, UAB Juodeliai will not be required to submit a new DDS. The company will collect and retain information on its direct suppliers and customers for at least five years, including DDS reference numbers or simplified declaration identifiers received from suppliers, as well as other information necessary to comply with EUDR requirements.

UAB Juodeliai has implemented procedures to collect and retain supplier information, ensure traceability between incoming raw materials and finished products, and integrate EUDR requirements into its purchasing, production, traceability, and export processes. The company remains committed to supply chain transparency and compliance with applicable EUDR requirements, maintaining its position as one of the leaders in the European wood industry.
