Industrial energy service plant launched at UAB Juodeliai in Marijampolė

A 5MW industrial energy plant has started operations at UAB Juodeliai production plant in Marijampolė. The comprehensive industrial energy solution, implemented in partnership with Northern European energy company Gren, converts by-products generated during wood processing into valuable industrial heat, essential for the lumber drying process.

To meet the growing demand for its products, UAB Juodeliai continues to expand its production capacity and implement solutions that increase operational efficiency while ensuring sustainable manufacturing processes. Gren was selected as a long-term partner due to its ability to provide a reliable long-term energy security solution aligned with UAB Juodeliai operational needs and sustainability objectives.

The energy plant currently delivers 5MW of thermal capacity. However, in response to the company’s increasing energy demand, the solution has been designed with the possibility to expand the capacity up to 10MW in the future.
