UAB Juodeliai to provide Due Diligence Statement (DDS) under EUDR requirements starting December

From December 30, 2025, the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai will begin providing its customers with Due Diligence Statements (DDS), which will be generated through the European Union’s EUDR information system (TRACES). Together with transport documents and invoices, customers will also receive product declaration codes (DDS codes). In this way, UAB Juodeliai’s customers will receive all the necessary information proving that the company operates in accordance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which aims to reduce the EU’s impact on the global deforestation and forest degradation crisis.

This step represents a consistent part of UAB Juodeliai’s implementation of the EUDR regulation. The company is fully prepared to meet the regulation’s requirements, which will gradually apply to all businesses between the end of 2025 and mid-2026, depending on product category and type. As one of Europe’s leading wood processing companies, UAB Juodeliai follows a comprehensive due diligence procedure that includes information collection, risk assessment, and risk mitigation, ensuring that its products are not linked to deforestation or forest degradation and fully comply with the laws of the country of production.

Earlier in the spring of 2025, UAB Juodeliai became the first company in Lithuania to be certified under the FSC Regulatory Module standard by the international certification organisation Preferred by Nature.
