17/03/2014 /  UAB Juodeliai takes part in KTU Career Days

We are delighted that the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai took part in KTU Career Days on 5 March. This is the third consecutive time the company has taken part. This event is different every year – exceptional, special and rich in something.

KTU Career Days 2014 were special because we participated as a general sponsor together with companies such as Barclays Technology Centre, DNB Bankas, IBM, Bentley Systems and Data Dog.

Although our own brand is not as famous yet, our goal is the same – we are looking for successful, talented and challenge-driven specialists because the individual is one of our key values!

This year’s event was attended by record numbers of students. There were so many people that it was difficult at times to reach the other end of the room. We were delighted that it was not only university students who were interested in the companies present; the career days were also visited by pupils from Kaunas high schools, teachers as well as people looking for a new job or new prospects.

Our stand received a lot of attention from future environmental protection specialists, chemical engineers, mechanics, electricians, economists, and finance specialists. Both young specialists with bachelor’s diplomas and MA and PhD students were looking for jobs and career opportunities. We were popular with teachers and had a chance to discuss the future prospects and opportunities of their students and the prospects of education as a whole with them.

We, a Lithuanian capital company, were also popular with foreign students. They inquired about the particularities of our operations, employment opportunities, our work principles, cooperation with European companies, and expansion to Asia and other regions.

KTU Career Days this year were rich in participants and diversity. The police and the army were also among the participants this year. Our stand also received numerous visits because it was decorated with a log to demonstrate the material we use to produce our euro pallets.

Everyone could see, touch and smell our products (firewood and pallet wood) and the products accumulated in the production process (sawdust and sliver).

KTU Career Days require considerable investment, effort, ideas, information and energy but the result is truly impressive: we boost people’s awareness about our company, it becomes easier for us to look for new specialists in a targeted manner, and we expand our own horizons. Furthermore, we find it beneficial to meet students on a regular basis, since students are generators of ideas, creators of energy and speed, users of the latest technologies, and disseminators of original views. All this ensures that our company never stops or is left behind and remains youthful, dynamic and flexible.

11/02/2013 /  UAB Juodeliai to take part in KTU Career Days

On 13 March 2013, UAB Juodeliai will take part in KTU Career Days 2013, the traditional company and student contact fair held by the KTU Career Centre. This fair is an opportunity for companies to introduce themselves to potential employees/interns, form an image as attractive and reliable employers and partners, and supplement their databases of potential employees with new contacts.

UAB Juodeliai is rapidly expanding its production volumes, both with regard to wooden and disposable pallets, pallet wood, and firewood. The company is continuing to ensure the success of its operation by generating new ideas and innovative opportunities to implement them. For this reason, UAB Juodeliai decided to participate in the KTU Career Days event this year and to share its successful business experience.

The team of UAB Juodeliai is preparing for KTU Career Days and looking forward to meeting students and other companies. The employees of UAB Juodeliai hope that this event will leave both students and the company with positive impressions and bring them indisputable benefits.

30/01/2013 /  Prestigious Gazelės Awards for fastest growing companies

UAB Juodeliai, which engages in the production of pallet wood, firewood, sawdust and slivers, took part in Gazelė (‘Gazelle’), an international project that has been held by the daily Verslo Žinios for nine years and is intended for SMEs. The objective of the project is not only to provide information and knowledge about issues of relevance for SMEs but also to draw public attention to new market leaders and to unite these promising companies by encouraging them to exchange their experiences as effectively operating companies. ‘Gazelles’ are growing, flexible and profitable companies.

The ‘Gazelle’ mark is becoming a synonym for quality both in Lithuania and other countries. It may be awarded to companies having any form of ownership and having turnover that has been increasing over the past 4 years. This year, the project held by Verslo Žinios had a record number of participants: as many as 457 companies competed for the title Gazelle of the Year 2012. This shows that businesses are giving up any uncertainty about tomorrow, are no longer going around in circles, and are actually undertaking more determined actions.

The Gazelė Awards Ceremony was held on 25 January 2013 and the companies with the best growth parameters in 2008–2011 were greeted by Her Excellency President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė. This year UAB Juodeliai won an award as the fastest growing company in Marijampolė County.

29/06/2012 /  A Visit to the Carrefour International du Bois Wood Product Exhibition in France

From 6 to 8 June 2012, the international wood product industry exhibition, Carrefour International du Bois, was organised in the exhibition centre of Nantes in France. The number of participants exceeded 500, with wood processors and traders of wood products among them. The participants exhibited various wood products such as wooden pallets, pallet blanks, and firewood. The organisers also offered seminars on the use of wood in the construction industry. The participating companies were mainly from France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, and other European countries. There were also several companies from Africa as well as North and South America. This year no Lithuanian companies took part in the exhibition.

The number of visitors to the exhibition exceeded 10,000. They came from various countries around the world. The representatives of UAB Juodeliai were also among them. The representatives of the manufacturing company, which is one of the largest producers of pallet blanks in the Baltic States, had come with the goals of finding new contacts and discovering innovations in the wood processing market. The sales manager of UAB Juodeliai, Marius Karanauskas, confirmed that he had managed to make useful contacts with manufacturers in France and other countries using sawn wood as a raw material (e.g. to produce wooden pallet blanks). It can be expected that the interaction between the wood processors that started at the exhibition will continue and achieve the level of long-term partnership.
