Having increased its sales by 26% and multiplied its profits by several times over in 2018, wood processing company UAB Juodeliai launched the construction of the world-class packing elements plant with capacities twice as high as those of the currently operating company.

The new packing elements plant is to be built in Marijampolė, on a 20-ha parcel of land next to the Marijampolė Free Trade Zone. The total project investment shall add up to 40 million EUR. The new plant is to create around 100 workplaces. Currently the company employs over 400 people.

All new plant processes shall be automated and standardized to the maximum level in order to balance manufacturing speed and flexibility. The plant shall be equipped with a cutting line that has no known analogue in the world to date. This line is produced by German company Linck Holzverarbeitungstechnik GmbH with 200 years of experience. This unique product is developed by joint efforts combining UAB Juodeliai experience and German technical know-how. The line shall be integrated with technological solutions that will be available to the general market only after the implementation of our project is complete.

The project is funded by our long-time partner: bank Šiaulių bankas. This partnership remained strong through thick and thin. We are happy having such a partner who strives with us for long-term benefit and allows us to grow and achieve ambitious goals.

The manufacturing building of the plant is to be completed by the end of this year. The cutting of the first log in the new plant is expected to take place in September 2020. Upon the implementation of the investment project the company opts to become the second largest pallet elements manufacturer in Europe.
